March Madness

Daddy - look! I'm cheering on the Jayhawks!
Lucas couldn't get his arm down after figuring out how to get it up. Ashton couldn't take his eyes off the TV - and the score. We started getting that "uh-oh" feeling in the last minute and a half.
All is well. Jayhawks win and Lucas has control of his arm again. On to the Final Four and a quick visit with Roy before moving on to the Championship game!

3rd Annual Bunny Bake-off

Daddy and I were taking a break from our usual activities on Saturday and began making our Easter Bunny Cake. This year I wanted a chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting. Here we are laying out the pieces of the bunny

Awwwwwww....

Spish Splash, I was taking a bath...

Mommy, why is Daddy laughing and talking about my belly that way?
What... What? What is it? Why are you laughing? Let's get this over with.
Whoa, that feels good.

The recent winner of Bedtime Jeopardy... Lucas! The selection, Goodnight Moon.

The Snowbunny - a Beacon to the Easter Bunny

Look mommy! 6" of snow to celebrate Springs arrival!
Thanks for deciding to raise me in northern Illinois. I love you.
Daddy says, in order for the Easter bunny to know whether or not to stop at our house, we should build a snowbunny with a basket. That way the Easter bunny wouldn't slip and fall hiding eggs all over the yard. He could just dump them in the snow bunny's basket. Thus, we could all get inside for hot chocolate faster!
Our little bunny foo-foo.
I love you snow bunny.
Daddy, I'm stuck to the snow bunny. Help!

Has anyone seen Lucas?

Sometimes we misplace Lucas.

"He ain't heavy, he's my brother."

Dyed Eggs - Daddy, why did the eggs die?

All set up to ruin the hardwood floors with the swipe of an elbow.
The 'ol Dunk and Roll manuever.
He was so intent during this whole process, we will be coloring eggs every day from 1-4:oopm until he goes to kindergarten.

Easter Cat

The creator and the canvas.
Grandma B and Lucas.

Grandma B and her boys.

The Trashcan & the Hare

Ashton has been waiting for this moment for weeks. We've checked out dozens of Tortise and the Hare books, books about rabbits, the Easter Bunny, Jackrabbits - he's been obsessed with rabbits and seeing the Easter Bunny.
Time for the photo op. Let's see, Easter Bunny, Daddy, Mommy and Lucas under the blanket. Where or where is Ashton?
Of course..... he wants to stand behind the trash can and watch.
Ok, time for the Easter Egg Hunt - a public display of how chaos occurs in nature.
He sneaks in for a quick photo op while he thinks no one is watching. I think he wanted to share a privite moment with the Easter Bunny... He was all smiles after this.
And back home for hot chocolate!

Lucas at the Beach

Lucas enjoys the beach and catches some rays - under the blanket.
Sandcastles that freeze before you can flip them over.
Grandma takes me for a small walk to see if we can find dinosaur bones.
Didn't find any bones, but I found my cough. Let's go have some hot chocolate!

Stinky Feet

Blaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.

Millenium Park

Best part of the day.
Daddy said this was one of his little projects.
Grandma, why are you putting all the sugar and creamer packets in my pockets?

Millenium Park

Make sure we're all in the little window Lucas.
Grandma and mommy got to push me around all day. It was great.
Daddy, is this great piece of art that big jelly bean thing sitting behind those garbage cans?
Grandma Boom, Ashton and Nicole
Mommy, can I go eat that jelly bean?
